My grandmother, Ruth Florence McFarland. What a fox! You can’t tell in this photo, but she had BEAUTIFUL red hair. This is her in her Navy WAVE uniform in 1946. Just the most marvelous woman.
Here is a photo of my beautiful mother in her studio. Above all things, I love that she is an artist. I love that motherhood is a part of her womanhood. I’m so lucky to call her my best friend. She is truly the strongest, smartest, and most intuitive (unless it comes to computers) person I know.
if i ever have a baby in my belly, i’m going to spend the entire time in the ocean.
